Journalism...supposedly

Every once in a while I happen to wander onto a news article on Singapore, either in print or online. Every one of those whiles result in a question. Who edits this crap? Take a look at the article linked to in the title. I can't begin to count the things that are wrong with it, the layout, the write-up...but the core point is the story itself.
It's an incredibly sad story, and also doesn't answer any of the questions that readers would be curious about.
Its a pathetic mix of whatever facts they could come up gather, put together in a fashion that would make a first year media student shudder!

Optimism / Happiness

Someone asked me this yesterday. "How can you be so optimistic?"
What else is there to do? What else is under your control?

Why do I train? Because it's one of the few things I do regularly that make me feel good about myself, that I am actually capable of something that's better than average.
